Teaching and Learning Resources

In our Main Lending Collection we have many titles relating to different aspects of Teaching and Learning.

They're not all in the same spot so to help you find them we've put a list on the Subject Resources section of our website under Teaching and Learning, giving a quick reference of what we currently stock in that area, along with the relevant shelf numbers. They're all on our Catalogue too so you can check there whether they're out on loan.

Any staff who wish to add titles in this area can request them in the usual way through our website.

Exam Papers

The Exam Papers section on our website now includes 2010/11 papers from our B.Ed. and Post Grad Diploma in Education courses.

Papers from last year's B.A. and M.A. Degree courses will be added shortly.

Afraid to Ask? Watch and Learn

We're always here to help in the Library, but for those of you who don't make it so far as our Information Desk we've made some short "movies" showing some basic functions on our Catalogue and website.

As Library productions of course they're silent (shhh...), and we won't be packing for the Oscars just yet, but we hope they'll be of assistance to some users.

Help Keep our Website Linked-up!

Our website has a huge number of external links to online journals and databases. Occasionally some of these resources find a new hosting site and our old link may become a dead-end.

If you have any problems with any of the links on our site please let us know by emailing info.library@spd.dcu.ie. That way we'll root out any cul-de-sacs asap and help you on your way!

Our Website Gets a Cert...

You may have noticed the icons to the right appear on our Library Website recently. They denote that our site is now fully XHTML and CSS compliant with W3C guidelines.

This helps ensure that the site displays consistently across different browsers and that it is compatible with assistive technologies. It also provides one of the most reliable guarantees that future Web platforms will handle it as it is currently designed.
