Weekend Opening Hours

Our opening hours this weekend are:

Friday, May 30: 
Library - 9am-10pm
Resource Centre - 9:30am-5pm

Saturday, May 31: 
Library - 10am-1pm
Resource Centre - 10am-1pm

Sunday & Monday, June 1&2:
Library - Closed
Resource Centre - Closed

We re-open on Tuesday, June 3 for vacation time hours - that's 10am to 5pm in the Library and 9:30am to 5pm in the Resource Centre.

Longer Opening Hours

During exam time this month the Library is open for LONGER on Fridays and Saturdays:

Fridays May 16, 23 & 30: 9am-10pm
Saturdays, May 17, 24 & 31: 10am-5pm

Short Loans for Easter

All 24 hour-loan items will be available to take out over the Easter break from this evening, Thursday at 5:15pm. They will issue until Monday, April 28.

Resource Centre Extra Hours

To accommodate students on School Placement, the Resource Centre will stay open for longer than normal this Friday and Saturday:

Friday, April 4 - 11am - 8pm
Saturday, April 5 - 10am-2pm

St Patrick's Day

The Library and Resource Centre are closed on St Patrick's Day, March 17.  The Library is open as normal on Saturday, March 15, from 10am-1pm, and we reopen on Tuesday at 9am.

Extra January Hours

To help students during exam time, the Library will stay open later than normal on Friday and Saturday this week.

On Friday Jan 10th we are open until 10pm.

On Saturday Jan 11th we are open until 5pm.

Christmas Opening Hours

The Library and Resource Centre will both close on Friday, December 20th at 5pm for the Christmas period. We re-open on Monday, Jan 6th.

June Bank Holiday

The Library will close from Saturday, June 1, to Monday, June 3, inclusive, for the Bank Holiday.

We re-open at 10am on Tuesday, June 2 when we revert to our summer vacation hours of 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.  For full Library and Resource Centre opening hours check our website.

Extra Hours for Exams

The Library will have extended Friday & Saturday opening hours during May to accommodate students studying for exams.    

Fridays (May 10, 17 & 24) : 9am to 10pm

Saturdays (May 11, 18 & 25) : 10am to 5pm

St. Patrick's Weekend

The Library is closed on Monday, March 18 for the Saint Patrick's Day bank holiday.

Our opening hours over the weekend are:

Friday - 9am-5pm
Saturday - 10am-1pm
Sunday - Closed
Monday - Closed
Tuesday - 9am-10pm

Longer Hours for 2013

The Library and Resource Centre are offering longer opening hours than ever for 2013.

• Resource Centre open throughout August 
• Extra opening hours for Library and Resource Centre during TP and Exams (January-May)
• Resource Centre open until 10pm during February, March and April

This increased hours for the Resource Centre alone mean it will be open for an extra 133 hours during 2013. You can see opening hours for both the Resource Centre and the Library on our website.  

These changes were made in response to requests from the Students Union and should ensure that these services are available when students most need them.  

This is only possible thanks to the continued hard work and co-operation of Library and Resource Centre staff.  A huge thanks to all involved!

Late Fri / Sat Opening

To accommodate students preparing for exams the Library is open later than normal this Friday and Saturday:

Fri, Jan 4: 9am-10pm
Sat, Jan 5: 10am-5pm

June Bank Holiday

The Library is closed over the June Bank Holiday from Saturday, June 2 to Monday, June 4 inclusive.

We reopen on Tuesday, June 5 for summer hours (10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm).  For our full opening hours check our website.

Extra Opening Hours

To accommodate students taking exams, the Library will stay open until 10pm on Fridays and 5pm on Saturdays for the next three weeks.

Vacation Week

Please note the Library is open for office hours only next week (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).  We return to full term-time hours on Monday, January 23.

Dec/Jan Opening Hours

The Library closes at 1pm on Wednesday, December 21 for the Christmas break.

We reopen on Tuesday, January 3 at 9am for full term-time hours.  To accommodate students preparing for exams we have extended opening hours in January:

Library Closed on Thursday

The Library will be closed on Thursday, December 8, for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We will reopen at 9am on Friday, December 9.

A Long Weekend for Short Loans

From tomorrow (Thursday) morning items from our short loan collection (including DVDs) are issuing over the weekend until Monday. This is due to the fact that we are closed this Friday and Saturday for conferrals.

August Bank Holiday

Please note that the Library is closed from Saturday to Monday inclusive this weekend due to the bank holiday. We reopen on Tuesday, Aug 2 at 10am.
